Aston Villa now racing Tottenham and Man Utd to sign £70m Premier League star

Aston Villa are now racing Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United for the signature of an “electric” Premier League star, who has made a very impressive start to the campaign.

Villa join race for new forward amid lack of goals

It would be fair to say Unai Emery’s side fell below their usual lofty standards at the beginning of the Premier League season, with the 3-0 home defeat against Crystal Palace likely to be particularly concerning, but they have since managed to get back on track.

Indeed, the Villans have won their last two matches in all competitions, most recently picking up their first league victory of the campaign courtesy of a fantastic second-half display against Fulham, which culminated in a 3-1 win.

Emery will be relieved his side are finally starting to look better in front of goal, but after failing to score in their opening four league matches of the season, the manager may still be worried about his side’s lack of firepower.

As such, according to a report from The Boot Room, Aston Villa have now joined the race for AFC Bournemouth forward Antoine Semenyo, but there could be fierce competition for the Ghanaian’s signature, and it may take a huge fee to get a deal done.

Tottenham, Man United and Manchester City are also named as potential suitors for Semenyo, who was valued at £70m back in the summer transfer window, amid links with Spurs.

Aston Villa now want to sign £35m Sunderland star after performance against them

A concern for Regis Le Bris…

ByTom Cunningham Sep 27, 2025

Transfer expert Graeme Bailey also makes it clear that a winter exit is very unlikely to be on the cards, saying: “As it stands, Bournemouth are intent on making progress this summer and that means no sales.

“They have lost the likes of Huijsen, Kerkez and Zabarnyi in recent months and they are insistent Semenyo won’t be following them through the exit doors in January.”

"Electric" Semenyo has made flying start to the season

It is no surprise that Bournemouth are reluctant to sanction a January departure, given just how well the 25-year-old has performed in the early stages of the new season, being dubbed “electric” by broadcaster Kris Temple.

The Cherries are currently sixth in the Premier League table, and the Ghana international has been paramount to their success, receiving Bournemouth’s Player of the Month and Goal of the Month award for August.

That follows on from a very impressive 2024-25 campaign, during which the winger picked up 11 goals and six assists in the Premier League, helping his side surpass expectations and finish ninth.

There is every indication that Semenyo could be a success at Villa Park, but Aston Villa are well-known to be struggling PSR-wise, which means forking out the potential £70m asking price could be an issue.

DC face consistent GT with playoffs hopes on the line

Big picture: It’s fun to be normal again

It feels like a whole new tournament. Since IPL 2025 paused last week, the people it is built on knew nothing but uncertainty. The players left for their own safety. Some returned. Others didn’t. Some coaches were about to leave but then they heard about the ceasefire and changed their minds. The resumption was supposed to take place in Chennai, Bengaluru and Hyderabad, but that’s not how it’s panned out. So just a normal day where they could pick up a bat or grab a ball and go full-tilt without anything else to worry about must feel so good.Gujarat Titans (GT) are only one win away from the playoffs. Their style of play is risk-free and replicable. Shubman Gill and B Sai Sudharsan go out there and put a high price on their wicket and figure out what kind of total their bowling attack will be able to defend. Plus, they had almost all of their players still on-site and were among the first teams to get back into training.Related

Delhi Capitals (DC) resume their season without Mitchell Starc. He had already bailed one match out of the fire for them and his big-game form is almost always on point, so he will be a big miss. DC are coping with that by bringing in another left-arm quick who does some of his best work at the death, Mustafizur Rahman – though it’s unlikely he’ll feature on Sunday, less than 24 hours after being part of Bangladesh’s team in a T20I in Sharjah. A batting line-up that seemed to dovetail perfectly started to hit snags – DC were ahead in a chase of 210 against Kolkata Knight Riders before crumbling to Sunil Narine and they made only 133 for 7 in their last game against Sunrisers Hyderabad, which was rained out before a result could be achieved – so it will be interesting to see how they go about things on Sunday.3:01

Can MI still miss out of the playoffs?

Delhi Capitals: LLWLW (last five completed matches, most recent first)

In the spotlight: Shubman Gill and Kuldeep Yadav

Shubman Gill, when we last saw him, was just a cog in the machine. Now he appears to be India’s Test captain in waiting. The merits of that decision aside, it is a huge moment in the life of a 25-year-old. How does he focus on the task at hand right now – leading GT – when there is something so big right on the horizon? Gill is set to become the second-fastest Indian to 5000 T20 runs – he’s 21 short after 153 innings – behind KL Rahul (143 innings).Having picked up at least one wicket in every match he’d played this season, Kuldeep Yadav has got nothing to show for his work over the last three games. He still remains hard to hit, his last 11 overs costing just 88 runs. His overall economy rate of 7.1 is second only to Varun Chakravarthy (7.0) among spinners who have bowled at least 20 overs this season. Kuldeep needs one more wicket to hit 100 in the IPL.Time is running out for Delhi Capitals•BCCI

Team news and probable XIIs

GT might need to start putting contingencies in place for when Jos Buttler leaves them ahead of the playoffs. They have three games left. They only need to win one. They have an opportunity to test their middle order out a bit.Gujarat Titans (probable): 1 Shubman Gill (capt), 2 B Sai Sudharsan, 3 Jos Buttler (wk), 4 Sherfane Rutherford, 5 Shahrukh Khan, 6 Rahul Tewatia, 7 Rashid Khan, 8 Kagiso Rabada/Gerald Coetzee, 9 Prasidh Krishna, 10 Mohammed Siraj, 11 Arshad Khan, 12 R Sai Kishore. The IPL’s reschedule has hit DC hard. Starc’s out and Tristan Stubbs will be packing his bags and leaving on May 30 with his attention shifting to the World Test Championship final. DC need to win all three of their remaining matches to confirm a spot in the playoffs without depending on other results. With Mustafizur unlikely to feature, they may only field three overseas players.Delhi Capitals (probable): 1 Faf du Plessis, 2 Abhishek Porel, 3 Karun Nair, 4 KL Rahul (wk), 5 Axar Patel (capt), 6 Tristan Stubbs, 7 Ashutosh Sharma, 8 Vipraj Nigam, 9 Kuldeep Yadav, 10 Dushmantha Chameera, 11 Mohit Sharma/Mukesh Kumar, 12 T Natarajan

The big question

DC began the season with four wins in four. But now they’re on a downward trend, with only two wins in seven.

Pitch and conditions

Three of the four matches played in Delhi have produced totals above 185. Spin bowlers (26 wickets, 24.07 average, 8.23 economy) have done significantly better than fast bowlers (19 wickets, 44.84 average, 10.45 economy) here. A searing day is expected with temperatures up around 40 degrees Celsius.

Stats and trivia

  • KL Rahul is 33 runs short of 8000 in T20s. Considering he will be playing his 214th innings on Sunday, he has a chance to become the third-fastest player to that mark in the format. Virat Kohli’s record (243 innings) is under threat.
  • GT could play spoilsport, though, because Rashid Khan has a tasty match-up against Rahul in the IPL: 40 runs in 47 balls for three dismissals.
  • DC could mitigate that by making sure Axar Patel is out there for a longer period of time. Both the GT spinners will turn their stock balls into him, and Axar has played spin like a boss this season, striking at 192.85. Among those with at least 100 runs against spin this IPL, only Nicholas Pooran has done better (SR 264).
  • GT’s top three have played an average of 88 balls per innings between them this season. They’ve dominated games, but that’s also resulted in a situation where Nos 4 to 11 have only faced an average of 28 balls per innings, and that could come back to bite them in the knockout stages.

Finlay Bean's double-hundred highlights Yorkshire fightback

Opener puts difficult start to season firmly behind him

ECB Reporters Network supported by Rothesay 24-Jun-2025Opener Finlay Bean put a difficult start to the season firmly behind him, compiling a superb maiden double hundred spanning more than nine hours as Yorkshire fought back against Rothesay County Championship leaders Nottinghamshire at Trent Bridge.Replying to the home side’s 487, Yorkshire – with only one win so far after earning promotion to Division One last season – closed on 414 for 6.Bean batted for 564 minutes for his 224, hitting 30 fours and one six before being caught at slip off spinner Farhan Ahmed, having shared partnerships of 130 with Matthew Revis (54 not out) and 101 with skipper Jonny Bairstow (41), left-arm spinner Liam Patterson-White taking 3 for 129 from a marathon 52 overs.Unable to make Yorkshire follow on after having them 154 for 3 overnight, Nottinghamshire look likely to have to settle for a draw, which would see their lead over Surrey cut to six points after the champions won at Worcester earlier in the day.Bean, with five career first-class hundreds against Division Two opposition, had found runs much harder to come by against Division One attacks this season, averaging a paltry 13.66 over his first 12 innings of the current campaign, with a top score of just 31.Although he had a flat pitch and the less bowler-friendly Kookaburra ball in his favour here, he nonetheless had the Test-match quality and know-how of veteran Mohammad Abbas to contend with, not to mention the pace of Dillon Pennington and a couple of decent spinners in Liam Patterson-White and Farhan.Yet he came through each challenge impressively, giving away only one genuine chance before his dismissal when a shot travelling at speed was put down on 170, his return to form timely in that Yorkshire’s next fixture, against Essex starting on Sunday, is being hosted by his own club side, York. His innings here – made barely half a mile from the scene of his Second XI record 441 against Nottinghamshire’s second team in 2022 – was an essay in concentration and patience, one of the longest played by a Yorkshire batter in the county’s history.Having been 86 overnight, he was 50 minutes in the 90s before cutting Farhan to third for his 16th four to reach 102 from 236 balls in the morning session. After tea, he had to negotiate more than 40 minutes in the 190s before going to 200 from 450 deliveries, pushing a single into the leg side with 17-year-old Farhan by then in his 34th over.Yorkshire lost only one wicket before lunch as Dan Moriarty, sent in as nightwatcher after Dawid Malan had fallen in the last over of the second day, went to drive Patterson-White but could only edge to Freddie McCann at slip. Moriarty protected one end for almost an hour. The conditions demanded patience of Nottinghamshire, too, as Bairstow then bedded in with Bean on a pitch that was yielding some help for the spinners, but not as much as they had hoped for. Two bursts with the second new ball before and after lunch could not unseat either and it was an hour into the middle session before another breakthrough came. The introduction of the medium pace of Lyndon James almost yielded a dividend for Nottinghamshire as Bean chipped perilously close to short extra-cover on 152, moments before Patterson-White struck Bairstow on the front pad and had his lbw appeal upheld.Swapping James for Abbas at the Radcliffe Road end likewise almost paid off, Bean surviving a hard chance to McCann at midwicket on 170. Unperturbed, the left-hander drove Patterson-White through the off-side to overtake his previous best of 173 versus Glamorgan last year before he and Revis guided Yorkshire to 320 for 5 at tea.His marathon came to an end 15 minutes before the close as Farhan turned one to have him caught at slip trying to work to leg, almost every spectator in the ground then rising to applaud as he walked back to the dressing rooms.

Arsenal have signed a "magical" star who looks like a new Saka-type player

Over the last three seasons, Arsenal have been within touching distance of ending their two-decade drought for a Premier League title under Mikel Arteta.

The Gunners last claimed title glory way back in 2004, with a generation of supporters unable to personally experience the heights achieved in the years prior.

In recent years, the club have shown glimpses of ending such an extended wait, but have been unable to cross the line and end a campaign in top spot.

Arteta’s men have finished the last three seasons in second place, but will be hoping to go one better this time around after the hierarchy backed him with over £200m worth of new additions.

However, despite the heavy spending from the board, one player already in the ranks at the Emirates could offer the solution to their recent inability to jump the final hurdle.

Why Saka could lead Arsenal to title glory in 25/26

Winger Bukayo Saka has been a crucial member of the Arsenal squad over the last couple of years, even cementing his place as a regular starter under Arteta.

The Englishman has risen through the academy ranks and showcased his worth, subsequently reaching unthinkable heights in the club’s hunt for title glory.

The 24-year-old has since racked up 270 senior appearances for the Gunners, registering 144 combined goals and assists in the process – an average of 0.53 per 90.

He missed a huge chunk of last campaign through injury, restricting him to just 37 appearances in all competitions, but it didn’t stop him from achieving a total of 25 goal contributions.

Such numbers weren’t enough for Arteta to claim any form of silverware, but his return to full fitness in 2025/26 will only improve the club’s chances of success.

His emergence through the youth ranks has highlighted the impressive work done by all the staff behind the scenes, which could allow players to emulate his success at the Emirates.

The Arsenal star who’s already a Saka-type player

Over the last couple of months, Arsenal fans have found a new reason to be excited, with teenager Max Dowman making his mark on the first-team despite being just 15.

He made his first senior appearance for the Gunners in the 5-0 triumph over Leeds United at the Emirates, featuring for just under half an hour but still having a huge impact.

The youngster won a penalty late on in the contest, handing Viktor Gyokeres the chance to net his second goal for the club, already showcasing his ability to torment the opposition despite his tender age.

Given his immediate impact in North London, there’s no denying that Dowman has a huge future at the club, but it’s crucial Arteta and co manage the expectations placed upon him.

However, the route of being in the academy and making the jump to the senior squad isn’t as simple for others, with Eberechi Eze one player who’s demonstrated just that in recent years.

He spent time in the youth ranks during the early years of his career, before being let go and making a name for himself at Crystal Palace in the Premier League.

The Gunners subsequently forked out a deal worth £67.5m for his signature this summer, with the hope he can become as crucial as Saka in the immediate future.

Eze, who’s been labelled “magical to watch” by Paul Hall, has glaring similarities to the aforementioned star, with the attacker already being comparable to his compatriot.

In his first eight games back in North London, the 27-year-old has already showcased his creative ability, laying on two assists in his first five Premier League outings.

However, Eze has also shown that he’s capable of starring alone, already netting his first goal for the club in the recent Carabao Cup clash against Port Vale.

Both traits have seen Saka become a real fan-favourite in North London, with the winger undoubtedly a key part of any potential success the club could achieve this campaign.

As for the new summer addition, he could also follow suit if he continues his excellent start to life at the Emirates – subsequently adding a new dimension to Arteta’s already potent front line.

Nuno's first signing could be "exemplary" £35m star as West Ham eye move

Nuno Espirito Santo is in the new manager at West Ham United and the Irons are already eyeing his first potential signing as they look to make improvements come the January window.

Nuno sets out his stall at West Ham Utd

Graham Potter was relieved of his duties by West Ham on Saturday after a poor run of results at the London Stadium, leading to the Hammers acting swiftly to appoint Nuno after his departure from Nottingham Forest.

Availability as an unattached manager and Karren Brady’s desire to see the Portuguese boss take the reins meant he was always the outstanding candidate, albeit his exploits at the City Ground last term shouldn’t go under the radar.

Speaking after his appointment, the former Spurs boss has vowed to try and build a sense of unity among the players, supporters and management staff, claiming that his arrival will be a chance to press the reset button.

He said in his inaugural press conference: “Now it’s a new beginning for everybody. It’s a new process that we really have to know, and we find out who we are and what we want to be. First of all, we have to realise who we are, and then we can create an identity. But first of all, we have to know each other really, really well.

“The supporters are very important, very important. That’s why I truly believe what we want to achieve is a platform. Now is not the moment to ask the fans. Now is the moment to deliver to the fans. When we have this bond, when other teams come to play against us, it’s going to be hell. But we have to achieve this bond first.”

While Paul Merson has voiced his opposition to West Ham appointing Nuno, he was probably the best and most sensible option available, and he could now be set to ramp up efforts to secure his first signing.

West Ham eyeing Juventus star Manuel Locatelli

According to Mark Brus in his Daily Briefing, West Ham are eyeing a January move for Juventus midfielder Manuel Locatelli, who may be available for £35 million if the Serie A giants decide to cash in on his services.

Chelsea, Newcastle United, Aston Villa and Bayer Leverkusen are also mooted as suitors, albeit the Old Lady would prefer not to lose the engine room operator if they manage to have it their own way.

West Ham failed to consider hiring free agent boss with 12 trophies instead of Nuno

The east Londoners had another option, but never reached out.

By
Emilio Galantini

Sep 28, 2025

Labelled “exemplary” by Massimiliano Allegri, Locatelli has made five appearances this term and possesses the calibre necessary to make an impact in the Premier League.

The Hammers have struggled for inspiration of late and lack leadership in what has been a difficult period on and off the pitch. However, Nuno’s appointment offers a clean slate, and some high-profile signings would improve the mood at the London Stadium.

Netherlands win epic contest after three Super Overs against Nepal

Historic scenes unfolded in Glasgow as the Netherlands-Nepal game went into a third Super Over, with Netherlands prevailing in a thrilling contest. This was the first time any men’s professional match – T20 or List A – had gone into a third Super Over, and it was Netherlands who eventually came on top in a topsy-turvy encounter. With Nepal requiring 16 to win the match in the final over of regular time, Nandan Yadav hit fast bowler Kyle Klein for 4, 2, 2, 4 and took the game into the first Super Over.Left-arm spinner Daniel Doram was tasked with bowling the over, and he went for 19 with Kushal Bhurtel smashing him for two sixes and a four. Doram had conceded just 14 in his four overs and picked up three wickets during regular time. Michael Levitt then launched a six the first ball and Max O’Dowd went 6 and 4 off the final two balls to take the game into a second Super Over.Lalit Rajbanshi was then smashed for two sixes off his first three balls but came back well as Netherlands were kept to 17 in Super Over No. 2. Rohit Paudel crashed a six first ball while Dipendra Singh Airee hit a four as the equation came down to seven off the final ball. Airee then smashed Klein over cow corner to take the game into a third Super Over for the first time.Offspinner Zach Lion-Cachet started the third Super Over, and grabbed the wickets of Paudel and debutant Rupesh Singh as Nepal failed to score a run. Levitt then held his cool and thumped Sandeep Lamichhane for a six over long-on to finally end a thrilling contest.Earlier defending 152, left-arm pacer Ben Fletcher had a dream start to his T20I career, getting Lokesh Bam caught behind with a full and wide delivery. Klein then had Anil Sah caught at mid-on as Nepal slipped to 9 for 2 in 2.1 overs. But Bhurtel and Paudel took the attack to Netherlands.Nepal raced to 52 for 2 in five overs before Doram ended Bhurtel’s brisk stay on 34. The runs dried up after the powerplay, with Doram taking charge. He got rid of Airee and then Kiran Thagunna as Nepal could only reach 97 for 5 after 15 overs. With 56 required off the last five overs, it was Rupesh who got Nepal going with a four and six but fell soon after. Paudel and Karan KC kept Nepal in it before the game ran into overtime. In the first innings, seamer Nandan took the new ball for Nepal and was taken for two back-to-back fours by O’Dowd before the opener planted fast bowler Karan over the ropes. But the introduction of spin changed the narrative.Rajbanshi struck with his first ball, sending O’Dowd back. Lamichhane was introduced into the attack after six overs and made an immediate impact. He first flattened Levitt’s middle stump with his second ball and four balls later had Netherlands captain Scott Edwards caught at deep backward square leg.Lamichhane then struck for a third time to dismiss Noah Croes. Saqib Zulfiqar’s late blows, however, took Netherlands past 150.

Not JJ Gabriel: Man Utd brewing homegrown Cunha in "dynamic" 18-year-old

Despite picking up an injury a few weeks ago, new Manchester United number ten Matheus Cunha has made a positive start to life at Old Trafford.

The 26-year-old has only played seven games for the club so far, missing the Manchester derby defeat away at the Etihad with the hamstring issue he had earlier in the season.

He’s yet to score or assist, but his impact in the final third has been felt. He’s created seven chances so far, and averaged 1.4 per 90 minutes. He certainly shone on debut against Arsenal.

The Brazil international has performed well for Carlo Ancelotti’s side in the international break this month.

Cunha’s form for Brazil

With the form he showed for Wolverhampton Wanderers throughout his time at Molineux, it was always going to be a matter of time before Cunha became a regular in the national team.

After making his debut back in 2021, he broke into the side as a key player earlier in 2025.

The 26-year-old is currently away with Brazil on international duty. In their recent game against continued his excellent form for Selecao, where he managed to score and assist in four games this calendar year.

Well, he added to that tally, which is now three goal involvements in five games, after he assisted Real Madrid star Vinicius Junior against South Korea in a 5-0 win.

Playing as a centre-forward for Ancelotti’s team, he managed 44 touches, created three chances and won four from seven ground duels.

The 26-year-old has a good relationship with Los Blancos star Vinicius. The pair have played together 11 times for the national team, combining for two goals in that time.

Both of those came in the last two games they played alongside each other in that famous Yellow shirt.

With Cunha’s form threatening to explode for United, too, it will be encouraging for Ruben Amorim that he has a howgrown version of the Brazilian brewing.

United’s homegrown Cunha

United have some incredibly exciting academy players. They’ve produced some sensational talents over the years, and currently on the books, some rising stars can eventually fit that mould.

In The Pipeline

Football FanCast’s In the Pipeline series aims to uncover the very best youth players in world football.

It is no secret just how talented 15-year-old forward JJ Gabriel is, with the Red Devils academy diamond tipped for a huge career ahead of him.

Yet, he is not the academy star who could be the homegrown Cunha. Instead, that is Samuel Lusale, an 18-year-old winger who moved to Old Trafford last summer from Crystal Palace. He’s already impressed for the academy sides.

In 22 games for the Red Devils under-18s side for far, Lusale has scored once and assisted seven times. This season in particular, the Slovakia under-19 international has been on fire, with four assists and one goal in five U18 Premier League games.

His run of form has been largely unstoppable. The 18-year-old, who was born in Guilford, has only failed to score or assist once, coming against Burnley. He gave Wolves a nightmare, grabbing two goal involvements in a 4-0 win.

Already, you can see how the 18-year-old is similar to Cunha, with the threat he offers in the final third. Described as a “dynamic” attacker by Academy Scoop over on X, he is a threatening ball-carrier, just like Cunha has shown for United this season.

The other similarity comes in the versatility Lusale offers. According to Transfermarkt, he is a winger by trade and has featured on both flanks for the Red Devils. He can also operate as a number ten, which really draws comparisons to Cunha.

The Brazilian is surely going to be an instant hit for United, and has shown glimpses of his best form before getting derailed by injury.

To be brewing a homemade version of Cunha in Lusale is exciting for United fans, especially if he can turn out to be as deadly as their number 10.

Seven-time Ligue 1 champions open Endrick transfer talks as Real Madrid outcast pushes for January exit

Brazilian wonderkid Endrick is pursuing a January loan move away from Real Madrid and talks have already begun with a club outside of Spain. The 19-year-old hasn't made a competitive appearance this season and wants regular playing time to secure his place in Brazil's squad for the World Cup. Endrick has struggled with injury, but has also been overlooked by boss Xabi Alonso and a temporary move away from the Bernabeu is seemingly edging closer.

  • Huge promise, but few opportunities

Endrick joined Real Madrid in July 2024 but has had to remain patient for first-team opportunities due to a combination of injury and intense competition for spots. During his first months he primarily featured off the bench, though he made a promising Champions League debut by scoring a late goal, becoming the club's youngest scorer in the competition in the process. Kylian Mbappe arrived just before him, which further intensified the competition for attacking positions. Despite his struggles, Endrick has showed flashes of his potential, including scoring five goals in the Copa del Rey during his debut campaign, finishing as Los Blancos' top scorer in the competition. His limited minutes have fuelled speculation about a potential loan move in the January window to gain consistent playing time with the World Cup looming large on the horizon.

Alonso addressed the situation, telling : "It's clear everyone wants to play. And a young player even more so. Given the context, we want to compete right now, and it's difficult depending on the match. He has to be patient, be prepared, and know that he's at Real Madrid. His time will come."

  • Huge update on proposed move

Endrick was an unused substitute in the recent 2-1 victory in El Clasico and now reports from journalist Fabrizio Romano say that he has entered talks with Ligue 1 side Lyon to join them on loan. In a recent post on X, Romano revealed the forward's plans, writing: "Endrick’s planned move for January is only a loan, no intention to proceed with any permanent transfer proposal. Endrick can imagine his future at Real Madrid, only planning for short-term loan to get more game time and develop, also with World Cup incoming."

And a further update today has indicated the club Endrick is in negotiations with. Romano said: "Understand Olympique Lyon have started talks to sign Endrick on loan in January! Talks already underway with an official approach to sign the Brazilian striker on loan from Real Madrid. OL presented their plan to Endrick who’s open to talk + assessing all options."

  • Lyon continue rebuilding job

One stumbling block could be the fact Lyon aren't able to offer the Real Madrid star Champions League football. After finishing sixth in Ligue 1 last season, they are competing in the Europa League. But Lyon will consider themselves lucky they avoided absolute disaster by the narrowest of margins this summer after France's financial watchdog relegated the club to Ligue 2 due to significant financial irregularities and debt. But following an immediate appeal, the club secured its reinstatement to Ligue 1 after providing new financial guarantees and undergoing a leadership change after American businesswoman Michele Kang was appointed president, replacing John Textor. This reprieve, while successful, came with strict oversight on their finances, wage bill, and transfer spending. But the team won four of their first five matches this season, overcoming the loss of key players, including Rayan Cherki, Alexandre Lacazaette and Georges Mikautadze.

Endrick has big decision to make

Talks are still in their very early stages, but there is plenty of time for Endrick to consider his option as the transfer window doesn’t open until January.
