Graham Roberts reckons that Tottenham should get rid of both Tanguy Ndombele and Giovani Lo Celso this summer.

The pair cost around £100m when they were signed in the same transfer window by Mauricio Pochettino in 2019.

However, neither have been able to fulfil their potential, whilst they’ve contributed to just 13 goals in 100 Premier League games combined – with Ndombele chipping in with nine and Lo Celso only four.

Ndombele was a regular under Jose Mourinho last season after failing to settle in his first campaign in England, although Argentine attacking midfielder Lo Celso has started just 26 games in the league having failed to nail down a starting place.

They sit first and third in Tottenham’s record arrivals list, but Roberts exclusively reckons that neither player can cope with the pace of the Premier League.

Asked which players he could see Tottenham selling this summer, the ex-Spurs skipper exclusively told The Transfer Tavern:

“I think Lo Celso and Ndombele. They’ve had two seasons, and they’re not scoring goals or assisting, they need to move on. I would look for a creative midfield player.

“I’m not sure what position Ndombele plays, Lo Celso is always injured. The league is too powerful for them, they can’t get to the pace of the league, and if you can’t get to the pace of the league, you’re a waste of time.”

From the last ball of an over from South African born off spinner Mark Davis from the Pavilion end and with his score on 94, he set himself well and launched a perfectly respectable delivery almost flat into the wall at the base of the Bedser stand to bring up his century to his delight and that of the home fans.The even more aggressive Shahid followed not long afterwards, finally catching up with Brown in the 120s despite giving him a 40-run head start. At the close they had pressed on to 461, their partnership a formidable combination of excellence and brutality, including delicate cuts and sweeps with stroked drives and even a bizarre pull for four through mid-off!Sussex toiled long and hard in the field, with only the dropping of Brown and a few more minor mistakes despite the battering they received, but once the clouds departed Surrey were able to make hay as the sun shone. Sussex bowled more accurately later in the day than they had when conditions favoured them as the home side made the most of Mark Butcher’s decision to bat first.

Leeds had a number of star performers in the Premier League last season, from Kalvin Phillips to Patrick Bamford, but it was Dallas who scooped both the Players’ Player of the Year and Player of the Year awards.

The Northern Irishman was magnificent for Marcelo Bielsa’s side, scoring eight goals from midfield, including a last-gasp winner away to champions Manchester City.

Dallas put pen to paper on a new three-year deal last week, acting as a huge boost for Leeds moving forward, keeping him at Elland Road until 2024.

Speaking to Football Insider, Whelan couldn’t hide his delight at the news, heaping praise on the 30-year-old in the process:

The Verdict: Most important player?

There is an argument to say that Dallas is Leeds’ most important player currently, even though he may not always stand out as much as others.

So much of the work he does can go unnoticed, particularly for fans of other clubs who don’t watch him every week, but his versatility and team ethic have played a huge role in Leeds’ success.

Only Bamford scored more goals than Dallas in the league last season, while only five players bettered his average of 1.9 tackles per game, highlighting his quality on and off the ball.

Many Everton fans have been left fuming as news emerged involving Richarlison.

As per the Brazil international team’s official Twitter page, he has been called up to their squad for the upcoming Olympic Games in Tokyo.

The Games do not end until Sunday 8 August, and the Toffees’ first fixture of the new 2021/22 Premier League season is at home against Southampton the following Saturday.

Given that he has been involved in the Copa America as well, it means that Richarlison is very likely to miss that first game against the Saints and maybe a few more after that, depending on how much rest he is given by Rafa Benitez.
