Everton’s transfer plans this summer will revolve around strengthening their options in attack, but they also appear to be in the market for a new midfielder.

Carlo Ancelotti’s side have already been linked with the likes of Sander Berge and Ainsley Maitland-Niles but one target stands tall above the other options.

That happens to be Yves Bissouma, a man who has caught the attention of plenty in the Premier League this season.

The Daily Express claimed that Everton are in the race to sign the dominant midfielder this summer, with a £40m fee being touted, but they will face competition from Arsenal and Liverpool, both of whom Fabrizio Romano suggested were keen this week.

Bissouma has been a combative force for the Seagulls over the last two years and is one of the strongest tacklers in the Premier League.

With that in mind, Everton could finally replace the effervescent Idrissa Gueye.

The Senegal powerhouse drew comparisons to N’Golo Kante during his time in the Premier League and, as a result of his performances, he earned a move to Paris Saint-Germain.

Throughout the course of his career, Gueye has won 3.2 tackles per match, but he actually usurped that tally during his time at Goodison Park. During his first season with the Merseyside outfit, the midfielder won 4.1 tackles per match, a figure which increased to 4.3 by the time of his final year at the Toffees.

No Everton player has come close to that tally this season, with Allan managing 3.3 successful challenges per game. This is precisely why Bissouma would be such a valuable addition.

Described as “exceptional” by Gary Lineker, the 24-year-old won 2.9 tackles per match in 2020/21.That falls below Allan and Gueye, but it’s his reading of the play that also stands up in comparison with the former Toffees midfielder.

In terms of interceptions, he has made 2.2 interceptions per game during his senior career – a number Bissouma comes close to replicating with 1.8 this term.

A proven Premier League talent, he would be a marvellous capture for the Toffees this summer, and one which could propel them to a place in Europe.

That’s according to a report by Stoke on Trent Live, who claim that the 30-year-old midfielder looks set to join Adana Demirspor in the upcoming transfer window.

Fans will be buzzing

With the £3.15m-rated Ndiaye having last played for Stoke back in 2019, the news that the Potters could finally be free of the midfielder is likely to leave fans of the club buzzing.

Indeed, following his £14.4m signing from Galatasaray in January of 2018, when the Senegal international was given a £25k-per-week contract until the summer of 2022, it would be a fair claim to make that the 30-year-old has not quite lived up to his price tag during his time at Stoke.

The midfielder joined the club in the window prior to their relegation from the top tier of English football, making 13 appearances in the club’s doomed Premier League campaign back in 2017/18.

Ndiaye was then loaned back to Galatasaray in August of 2018, spending the 2018/19 season with the Super Lig side, before playing a further 13 fixtures for Stoke in the club’s 2019/20 Championship season, prior to being sent on a number of further loan deals at clubs such as Trabzonspor, Fatih Karagumruk and Al-Ain.

In total, the man who Stuart Taylor dubbed a “top class” player featured just 27 times in all competitions for the Potters, scoring two goals and providing one assist along the way.

As such, it would appear an extremely wise move for Michael O’Neill to indeed allow the midfielder to leave the bet365 Stadium this summer, as, if the club were unable to find another loan deal to send Ndiaye on, it could cost a further £1.3m in wages for a player who appears highly unlikely to play much, if any, first-team football under the Northern Irishman next season.

كما أثنى بونو على حارس تشيلسي والسنغال إدوارد ميندي، حيث قال: “بالنسبة لي هو أفضل حارس مرمى في العالم، فتح الباب أمام الحراس الإفارقة للمنافسة على أعلى المستويات”.

وتابع: “محمد الشناوي وميندي حارسان كبيران، يقدمان مستويات رائعة”.

كما تطرق بونو للحديث عن فرق الوداد المغربي الذي تأهل مؤخرًا إلى ربع نهائي دوري أبطال إفريقيا، وفاز على الزمالك المصري في مباراتي دور المجموعات.

The city lay blanketed by heavy cloud and swept by warm summer rain and even the Auckland umpire Doug Cowie was hampered in reaching New Plymouth because the airport was closed.The fifth round Cup match between Central and Canterbury is due to be played at Pukekura Park on Friday but the forecast for that day is still unimpressive. Rain is expected to continue in New Plymouth till the weekend.

Plenty of Crystal Palace fans have been reacting to an update regarding the Eagles’ pursuit of Chelsea midfielder Conor Gallagher.

According to the Daily Mail, ‘Crystal Palace would like to sign him now’ – an intriguing eight-word transfer update.

The report claims that Blues boss Thomas Tuchel would like to take a closer look at Gallagher before making any decision, but it appears as if Palace want to land the 21-year-old as soon as possible.

Gallagher spent last season on loan at West Brom, making 32 appearances in all competitions. He netted twice during his temporary stay in the Midlands, with one of his goals actually coming against Palace in a 5-1 win for the Eagles.

Palace are still without a manager after Roy Hodgson left at the end of the previous campaign, but their hot-seat vacancy hasn’t appeared to have hindered their transfer plans.

Com Jadson, o Tianjin subiu à Primeira Divisão da China no último ano, mas agora deseja fazer investimentos maiores e contratar jogadores ainda mais renomados: o belga Alex Witsel, por exemplo, foi comprado por 50 milhões de euros. Caso o clube tenha sucesso em outras investidas milionárias, Jadson poderia ter o contrato rescindido. O jogador, porém, não abre mão de receber o que teria direito até o fim do vínculo: cerca de R$ 18 milhões. Se os fatores se combinarem e Jadson ficar livre, o Corinthians já tem negociações abertas com o jogador para 2017.

O caso de Wagner também é complexo. O Corinthians acertou bases contratuais, realizou exames médicos e até levou o meia para assistir um jogo na Arena de Itaquera durante o Brasileirão do ano passado, mas desistiu do negócio quando notou que o jogador ainda não havia obtido a rescisão contratual no Tianjin Teda, também da China. Todas as partes davam o acerto como fechado, mas as tratativas emperraram: se o meia perdesse a ação que move contra o clube, ele teria de arcar com uma multa, e o Timão seria obrigado a ser solidário no pagamento. O Corinthians não quis correr o risco.

Agora, o cenário voltou a clarear e as conversas foram reabertas. O estafe de Wagner recebeu uma sinalização positiva do Tianjin Teda a respeito da rescisão, e espera ter o jogador livre de contrato até o início da próxima semana. Como já havia acordo com o Timão, os representantes quiseram saber se ainda havia interesse, e o clube brasileiro decidiu sentar-se novamente à mesa.

Um último nome em discussão pelo Corinthians é o de Anderson, mas também é a possibilidade mais remota. O jogador do Internacional não é consenso entre diretoria e comissão técnica, mas agrada muito ao técnico Fabio Carille. O nome monitorado há meses pelo clube tornou-se uma possibilidade real nos últimos dias, quando o Internacional aproveitou as conversas sobre a compra de Uendel para propor uma troca ao Timão: Anderson por Guilherme.

Guilherme não é um dos jogadores que o Corinthians trata como inegociáveis, como Fagner ou Rodriguinho, e o clube não recusou a possibilidade de primeira. A forte oposição da torcida ao negócio e especialmente o desconhecimento a respeito do momento físico e comportamental de Anderson é que deixam o Corinthians com o pé atrás na negociação.
