وانتهى الشوط الأول من المباراة بتقدم أصحاب الأرض بهدفين نظيفين، الأول سجّله جواو فيليكس بـ أسيست من ماركوس يورينتي في الدقيقة الثامنة.

وفي الدقيقة 22 تمكن الدولي الإسباني يورينتي من تسجيل الهدف الثاني لـ أصحاب الأرض.

وفي الشوط الثاني من اللقاء سجّل لويس سواريز الهدف الثالث لـ أتلتيكو مدريد بالدقيقة 51 بأسيست من صاحب الهدف الأول فيليكس.

وفي الدقيقة 90 واصل النجم البرتغالي فيليكس تألقه في المباراة وسجّل الهدف الثاني له والرابع لـ أتلتيكو مدريد، بـ أسيست من كوريا.

هذا الانتصار رفع رصيد أتلتيكو مدريد للنقطة 17، ليتصدر الدوري الإسباني بفارق الأهداف عن ريال سوسييداد، “مؤقتًا”، لحين انتهاء باقي مباريات الجولة، بينما توقف رصيد قادش عند 14 نقطة بالمركز السادس في سلم ترتيب الليجا.

It’s no secret that Leeds’ attacking style can be exploited by targeting their defensive weakness. Indeed, Pontus Jansson needs a partner and Liam Lindsay should be that man, not Yoann Barbet.

Lindsay has played 4o times at centre-back for Barnsley this season and he’s made their defence the most solid in the league. They’ve conceded just 37 goals, while league-winners Luton Town have conceded 41. This is no coincidence.

Not at all.

Remarkably, he’s just 23-year-old but makes decisions of a player way beyond his years. He’s got the potential to become a future star and he’d make the ideal replacement for Liam Cooper at Elland Road, if the Whites go up or not. In fact, The Daily Star have previously credited Leeds with an interest in their Yorkshire rivals’ gem.

Cooper has been good this season, but he’s not got the quality to defend the large spaces Leeds will continue to leave when they press so high up the field. If they go up, they’ll need someone who can deal with Premier League football and Lindsay has a better chance.

L’Equipe have linked Yoann Barbet to Leeds recently, but he’d be the second choice to Lindsay in our eyes. Despite his Championship experience, he’s not quite got that authority to deal with the space Leeds leave for their opposition to attack.

Liam Cooper needs to be replaced in the starting 11 next season, and either Barbet or Lindsay would be an upgrade. However, the latter’s potential and ability to thrive in big games means he’s the perfect man for the job.

أفادت تقارير صحفية إسبانية أن الدولي البرتغالي برونو فرنانديز لاعب وسط مانشستر يونايتد، يفكر في الرحيل بنهاية الموسم في حالة عدم تأهُل فريقه إلى دوري أبطال أوروبا.

برونو فرنانديز انضم إلى مانشستر يونايتد يناير الماضي من سبورتنج لشبونة وأصبح من أهم اللاعبين في النادي الإنجليزي خلال تلك الفترة.

موقع “Fichajes” الإسباني، أكد أن اللاعب لديه عدد من العروض الكبرى في أوروبا، ويفكر في الرحيل جدية بنهاية الموسم، إذا لم يتأهل مانشستر يونايتد إلى دوري أبطال أوروبا.

ريال مدريد وبرشلونة، بالإضافة إلى بايرن ميونخ ويوفنتوس، جميعهم أندية تنتظر قرار اللاعب البرتغالي، للدخول في مفاوضات جادة لضمه.

ويلعب مانشستر يونايتد هذا الموسم في دوري أبطال أوروبا، ولكن النادي الإنجليزي يعاني في الدوري المحلي، حيث يحتل المركز الرابع عشر برصيد 10 نقاط.

It’s fair to say that Arsenal’s glorious night at the Mestalla certainly showcased the best and worst of Ainsley Maitland-Niles.

The 21-year-old registered an impressive assist after dancing past defenders and putting in the perfect ball for Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang. Indeed, what a talent he looks like going forward. Yes, going forward, where he belongs.

Because, up until that point, he was having a complete nightmare defensively. With little to no cover in the right-back position, Maitland-Niles was forced to face the mite of Los Che’s attack and crumbled under the pressure as a result. Goncalo Guedes repeatedly dribbled past him, while many long balls went over him as the youngster could only watch players go around him.

Thankfully, the Spanish side’s final delivery was poor and his centre-backs were solid in thwarting away whatever came their way. However, in a celebratory night in Spain, Unai Emery must’ve been worried to see his defence exposed like that. While Arsenal have little options to turn onto, the 21-year-old shouldn’t be kept as a wing-back beyond this season.

Maitland-Niles is not at all defensively stable, not having the knowledge or instincts of a top defender. The wing-back is a natural winger who loves to run at defences, bamboozle defenders and create through the right. With that in mind, he should be developed as a winger, as his one moment of magic proved him to be the Gunnars’ best right-winger right now.

It’s not as if Emery is blessed with options in wide areas either, so the academy graduate seems a natural fit there.

Emery should aim to reinforce the right-back slot with a proper cover for Hector Bellerin next season, despite how limited his transfer funds may actually be.

Frankly, the 21-year-old versatile winger should only be unleashed as one, where he clearly feels more comfortable in being a menace for opposition, rather than his own team.

تقدم نادي مانشستر سيتي بشكوى لشبكة “سكاي سبورتس” العالمية، بسبب التصريحات التي أدى بها روي كين ضد اللاعب كايل ووكر.

وكان روي كين قد انتقد ووكر ووصفه بالأحمق خلال مباراة مانشستر سيتي وليفربول الأسبوع الماضي في الدوري الإنجليزي.

وتواجه الفريقان في الجولة الثامنة من البريميرليج في ملعب الاتحاد، حيث تعادلا بهدف لمثله.

وتسبب ووكر في ضربة جزاء لصالح ليفربول بعد عرقلته اللاعب ساديو ماني، حيث حول محمد صلاح ركلة الجزاء إلى هدف التقدم لحامل اللقب.

وقال روي كين خلال ظهوره في شبكة “سكاي سبورتس”، أن ماني حصل على ركلة جزاء لأنه يتعامل مع أحمق، قاصدًا ووكر (لمطالعة التفاصيل من هنا).

Leeds United aren’t going to be in the Premier League next season, and there may be reason for fans to point the finger at Andrea Radrizzani after their playoff semi-final defeat on Wednesday.

Just looking at their bench for the game against Derby tells the whole story. Other than an unfit Pontus Jansson the Whites could only call upon U23 players.

Derby’s difference maker

Derby proved the value of having a strong bench as Jack Marriott completely turned the game when he entered proceedings.

The striker netted twice, including the Rams’ fourth goal which eventually sent them to Wembley.

Whereas Derby could look towards the experience of Tom Huddlestone and Ashley Cole to get them over the line, Leeds had to bring on Izzy Brown, who had only played seven minutes for the Yorkshire club all season before Wednesday’s game.

Weren’t prepared

Perhaps Victor Orta and Radrizzani underestimated the size of the task ahead of them when they were heading into this campaign.

It’s no secret that Bielsa’s teams have a tendency to run out of steam towards the end of seasons, and with the Championship being such a gruelling league the higher-ups should have prepared for this.

The Argentine should have been given a couple of extra additions in January so that he could rotate regularly towards the back end of Leeds’ promotion push, and keep players as fit as possible for huge games such as this one.

Instead, the Whites came into the playoffs with a lengthy injury list and a lack of options outside of the starting XI.

Radrizzani should have recruited more in the winter window to avoid this problem. If the owner is serious about getting the Yorkshire club back into the Premier League, he can’t afford to make this same mistake again.

وأردف: “سمة برشلونة هي نفسها دائمًا، هناك دائمًا فروق دقيقة اعتمادًا على المدرب الذي يقود الفريق، يمكن للمدربين أن يساهموا بأشياء، لكن السمة تحدد من قبل لاعبي كرة القدم الذين كانوا في النادي لسنوات عديدة، العمود الفقري للفريق، تير شتيجين، بيكيه، ميسي”.

وانتقل سيميوني للحديث عن لاعبيه، متابعًا: “كوكي لاعب مهم للغاية بسبب قدرته التكتيكية، لأنه يفهم ما يمكن أن يقدمه للفريق، من الحجر الصحي جاء بسرعة أكبر وهذا يتكرر في الفرق وهذا قاده إلى المنتخب الوطني هو لا يزال مهمًا للغاية بالنسبة لنا”.

وعن دييجو كوستا، استطرد: “لديه فرصة للبدء أساسيًا، لقد عاد إلى المجموعة في هذه الدورات التدريبية الثلاث الأخيرة، إنه بخير، إنه هنا للعب”.

وبشأن كاراسكو، عقّب: “إنه في مستوى جيد مثل العديد من اللاعبين الآخرين، لقد غاب عن الملاعب لبضعة أسابيع لكنه اجتمع مع المجموعة هذا الأسبوع بأكمله، هناك منافسة جيدة في هذا المركز بوجود ساؤول وليمار وكذلك كاراسكو”.

Leeds United fans on Twitter have delivered their verdict on what the club should do with their two biggest problem players.

Kiko Casilla and Gaetano Berardi have both had to take a lot of blame for last week’s playoff semi-final loss against Derby County, and rightly so.

Casilla dropped a complete clanger for the Rams’ first goal, while Berardi was sent off late in the game.

Many supporters believe that it is time for the defender to move on from the club. It is understandable that many of them have this viewpoint as he has now been sent off more times than anyone else in the club’s history, barring Alan Smith.

They had the opposite viewpoint on the keeper though. Despite his blunder in the Whites’ most important match of the season, many members of the fanbase think he is worth keeping due to his history of playing for Real Madrid.
